The date of certification is based on the achievement of the final unit and the validity will be three years from date of achievement. Candidates must re-qualify prior to the expiry date of their existing qualification.
When an Emergency First Aid at Work, Emergency Paediatric First Aid or Paediatric First Aid certificate expires the candidate will need to complete the full course and assessment again. First Aid at Work candidates have the option to renew their qualification by attending a First Aid at Work renewal course and assessment.
Candidates renewing their First Aid at Work qualification will be required to evidence currency of their current qualification. On completion of this course, a copy of the original certificate for all candidates is required prior to the start of the course, this will be retained for audit purposes.
The Candidates who fail to requalify prior to the expiry date of their existing certificate, may requalify by successfully completing a two-day First Aid at Work (FAWR) requalification course within 28 days following their qualification expiry certificate. However we require a copy of the Certificate on booking to be able to be accepted on the course
Candidates are not permitted to act as a first aider until they have requalified.
9. Guidelines for students and employers
It is the employer’s responsibility to ensure that students are free from any condition which would affect their capability to undertake their chosen course, and that they have the aptitude to cope with an intensive course of study.
We welcome Candidates with disabilities and learning difficulties such as Dyslexia but it remains their employer’s responsibility to ensure that they are appropriately supported in their workplace.
Enjoy2train require a completed enrolment form prior to the course, notifying us of any additional assistance that a candidate is likely to need during the running of the course.
Together we will have a consultation meeting with the candidate as per our reasonable adjustment policy, to put in place any reasonable adjustments with full agreement from the candidate which will be needed to be made prior to the course.
Our governing body The Royal Lifesaving Society has put in place a variety of resources to support those with learning difficulties to which Enjoy2train has full access and can go through these options as part of the consultation process.
If it is felt that the student doesn’t meet the learning outcomes of the course and or assessment process and is referred, they will be offered a free reassessment. Any further training or coaching over and above that provided on the course may be charged for.
10. Candidate Behaviour
Enjoy2train commit to offer a training environment where all individuals will be treated with dignity and respect and valued for who they are and for their contribution.
We expect the same from our candidates and Enjoy2train reserves the right to remove any candidate from a training course whose behaviour is deemed inappropriate by Enjoy2train, its trainers and/or other candidates. In these circumstances, the candidate will not have the opportunity to finish the course and Enjoy2train will neither refund any fees nor reimburse any other costs.
